Dodson Motorsport Promax Clutch
We start with using the Dodson Motorsport Promax Clutch. This unit is complete with billet baskets, outer cage, and cover drive unit which are all prone to failure even at moderate increases in power. This comprehensive design steps things up from a standard street solution and is the only clutch we recommend for the DL800. The Promax allows for several configurations of the clutch pack itself providing the highest level of engine torque holding capability for the DL800 while still providing the ability to be mild-mannered and streetable.
Dodson Motorsport OE Billet 2nd Gear Upgrade
The Colab Garage NG2 uses the OE billet 2nd gear upgrade from Dodson Motorsport. A common failure seen when making 4 digit HP is the OE 2nd gear coming apart due to the elevated torque that the engine is producing with the addition of forced induction. This failure can happen to DL800 gearboxes that never even see the drag strip. The Dodson Motorsport 2nd gear only upgrade matches your existing gear ratios and is essential when making over 1000hp.
Optional Dodson Motorsport Upgrades
Depending on if you plan to drag race your DL800 or not we provide the option to upgrade your NG1 to support the rigors of hard drag launches or if you plan to keep it on the street you can save on these options that are not required.
Starting with the drag pack essentials of both the Dodson upgraded half shafts and Wavetrac rear limited slip differential. Also included in the drag pack is the Dodson Motorsport Billet Ring and Pinion which is essential when launching at the drag strip. From there you can add the Billet pack which includes the Dodson billet sump pan and rear differential cover for added strength and durability, not to mention a little bling for your DL800.
All NG1 builds include the Dodson titanium bolt kit to ensure everything is held together properly and can be serviced in the future. The Colab Garage NG1 also adds our proprietary modifications which aid in reliability and strength to the oiling system components. Every NG1 DL800 gearbox is cleaned using our omega sonic cleaner for all components including cleaning of your mechatronic unit and oil pump assembly to ensure proper operation prior to installation.
