One of the pillars for Colab Garage is to provide the racing community with key safety products for the platforms that we support. Initially designed by the MADScientist back in 2020 out of aluminum, our latest version of this engine belly pan for the R35 Nissan GT-R is now made out of composite and is 1/4 the weight of the original metal version. Our engine belly pan was developed out of a safety requirement by many organized racing events to ensure the safety of the driver by keeping him from running over their own oil and parts if a catastrophic engine failure occurs during a run. The pan will retain up to 2 gallons fluids which should more than capture all of the oil and coolant that is in the engine during operation and then some. This also helps keep the event on schedule by not having to shut down the racing to clean up the resulting mess when not running one of these.
